You must not be looking at the right spots.


South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Germany are all countries who had a high level of testing early and thus were able to manage their outbreaks. Many of us would probably complain about the infringement of civil liberties with the tactic that Taiwan took, but it is not much different from what NY is currently doing. All of those economies have taken hits in the 2nd quarter, but nowhere near as bad as ours, more like 5-10%

When south Korea is having a "Spike" in case numbers, I think they've only recently hit several hundred in a day, which VA is still hovering around 1000, yet has 1/6th of the population. Taiwan has had only had 7 deaths.. Hong Kong, 100.

The killer is that the success of those countries was already known back in March. The hammer and the dance article has 10's of millions of view/reads. Even the WVU AD was quoting this article in the response that they were attempting to replicate on their campus.
